Well, ladies, here it is spring, although it doesn’t feel much like it here in NC today. Rainy and cold. Last week we had temps around 85. My boys, particularly my oldest one, is really disappointed we haven’t had any snow in the last two winters. Snow days are a huge thing here because we don’t have enough of it for our govt. to invest in lots of snow removing equipment so lots of things kind of shut down. Schools, are one of those, of course. There is something kind of cozy about being in the house during these times; yet, as anyone knows who has kids, trying to get a toddler or pre-schooler into their snow clothes and boots five times a day can be frustrating beyond belief.

The last really big snow we had was in the winter of 2000 when I was pregnant with my youngest son, now 5. We got over 20 inches, which is very deep for here. We were stuck in the house with schools closed for over a week - no joke - because school buses couldn’t get to all areas of the county.
The theme songs from the video games my oldest two played that week - along with half the kids in the neighborhood playing too - - are imbedded in my memory. That was the last time I put pictures in my photo albums because I had the time and no place I could go. Now I have a box of photos from the years since then that need to be put in albums, but I haven’t had the time. Looks like the only way I’m going to get it done is to have another enormous snow storm. Maybe next winter.

We’re in the midst of baseball and AAU basketball seasons for my two oldest boys, while my five-year-old is taking a weekday, once-a-week soccer class. Honestly, if I ever get time to go to a movie I’d like to go to again, it’ll be a miracle.
Hang in there, everybody!
Sharon
