I am a 42yo mother of 3 boys. 13, 10 1/2, 8. As my husband travels interstate at least 3 days a week they can be quite a challenge. There is only me to drive them to Hockey training and games and Soccer and whatever else they want to do let alone playing REF. Going out with the girls is a thing of the past unless I can do it during the day. Given I work part time in an office (on my own) there is little chance of that. About 4 months ago I joined a gym to give me a release and some time away from everyone. I go before they wake up and it is a great start to the day. It just amazes me how competitive the boys are and the sibling rivalry. I didn't see it growing up as my sister is 12 yrs older than I and my brother 10. I always wished I had someone to play with. My house is so noisey and work is my sanctuary.

Having said all of that I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING! (Well maybe the fights) Wink

WOW! From Australia, huh? I am also a mom of 3 boys and have been down that road of my husband working out of town most of the week. At the time, I wasn't working so I found it very isolating and tiring! Now it is a little better that my youngest has started Kindergarten and I am starting back to work as a nurse part-time. It is always exciting and my boys definately have lots of rivalry. Sometimes it drives me crazy! I grew up with 2 brothers and now have boys so I feel like I have also been surrounded by testosterone. Have a great day!
